1. Acceptance of Terms By installing the Surgee Shopify application or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service Surgee is an autonomous SEO operating system that integrates with Shopify. We provide AI-driven content generation, technical SEO audits, metadata optimization, and site speed enhancements via Shopify Metafields and Liquid App Blocks.
3. Billing, Subscriptions, and Refunds All billing is handled directly through the Shopify App Store billing system.
Charges: By approving a subscription plan, you authorize Shopify to charge your account based on the selected tier's monthly recurring cycle.
Upgrades/Downgrades: Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated and handled natively by Shopify.
Refunds: Because all billing is managed by Shopify, refund requests must be processed in accordance with Shopify's App Store policies. We do not directly issue refunds unless explicitly mandated by Shopify.
4. Theme Integrity & "Do No Harm" Surgee is architected to never permanently alter your core Liquid files (theme.liquid). We utilize Shopify Metafields and App Blocks to inject code natively. If you uninstall Surgee, the App Blocks will be removed, and your theme will remain intact. However, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your Shopify theme. We are not liable for conflicts caused by other third-party apps or custom theme modifications.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer Surgee uses advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate text, meta tags, and SEO blogs. While our proprietary SEO Text Humanizer minimizes errors and aligns with your Brand Voice, AI can occasionally produce inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before publishing it to your live store.
6. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Surgee and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, search rankings, or goodwill, arising out of your access to or use of the application.
7. Termination You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Surgee app from your Shopify admin dashboard. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our service if we determine you have violated these Terms (e.g., attempting to bypass API quotas or reverse-engineer the platform).
